      <title>The classification of videogames</title>
      <link>http://www.ddams.com/EN/36-The-classification-of-videogames.html</link>
      <description>This article is the synthesis of a reasearh study aimed to raide a classification suited to videogame, through the anlysis of gameplay.&#13;
&#13;
Conducted by Julian Alvarez and myself, this study lead us identify recurrent diagrams within rules of videogames, that we called "Gameplay Bricks". The combinations of these different bricks should allow us to represent a classification of all videogames in accordance with their rules.&#13;
&#13;
For example, we noticed that, according to gameplay, Pacman is similar to racing games, which is quite unusual if we refer to previous videogames classifications.&#13;
&#13;
Hence, we propose through this article another classification system based on videogames rules. </description>
